Can I convince my school scrap MS Office?
Well, in my never ending quest to make make everyones life better, I have just written a letter for the school district to try to convince them to remove Microsoft Office from all computer at my school and have it replaced by OpenOffice.org. I have no idea how this is going to turn out. I'm going to bring my letter into school tomorrow to try to get it proofread by at least one teacher. I only know of one teacher fully agrees with me on this topic. Sadly odds are against me on trying to achieve this but I just want to try.
If my proposal gets accepted(which i highly doubt it will be) it would be a major accomplishment. But, i believe the teacher that agrees with me on this has already tried to get this done and it failed.
All I can do is try...

That’s a tricky one. Why do you want them to convert to openoffice anyway? They look almost the same. :p

Because what my school has right now is Office XP and that is REALLY old and bad. But, i just found out that my school district has bought Office 2007 and is going to install it on all the computers, and that really makes me mad because it was a major point of my argument, but i believe i can still get my point across by trying to make a bigger and better argument based on other things.
